What makes us different?

Press Release:-

13th November 2006.

UK's first "mortgage lounge" hits Porthcawl

In what is believed to be a brand new concept, South Wales based mortgage and financial services company Cymru Solutions Ltd has opened its first retail operation in the seaside resort of Porthcawl.

It is the result of much research and customer feedback and comprises of a shopfront that is more akin to a coffee bar than financial services. Plasma screens, internet-linked PCs for customer use, comfy sofas, complementary refreshments and chilled out music all combine to create a relaxed atmosphere. Expert advisors are on hand to give free impartial advice on all financial matters but there is a strict no salesmen (and no tie for that matter!) rule to further enhance the atmosphere.

Customers are able to browse the literature available, look for properties on the internet, catch up on the news, have a cup of coffee and discuss their needs if they want to, without pressure or obligation. All within a stones throw of the sea at 100 John Street.

We have always prided ourselves on giving great advice and have relied on this to generate the business we need without having to resort to hard sell. I also firmly believe the the archetypal suited and booted look with large desks and a stuffy attitude belongs firmly in the 80s. People expect more nowadays and Ty Cymru (as we are calling this development) is aimed squarely at those that deserve a higher quality of service.Says Jon Davies (Managing Director). The only issue is with being this innovative is that people do not know what to make of Ty Cymru and are reticent to come in to them I say: we don't bite! Pop in for a coffee and a chat.

An inpromtu raffle on Saturday raised 88 for Cancer Research Wales which is Cymru Solutions nominated charity and is the start of many such fundraising events.

Cymru Solutions has expanded rapidly over the past few years and has doubled its turnover in the last year alone. It currently has six salaried employees and has a plan to open its second and third units in 2007, increasing the staff complement to 25, all of whom will be well rewarded and receive ongoing professional development.
